is a 41-year-old former editor of the Cherokee One Feather, a paper owned by the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians. His 11-year tenure ended in 2007 after years of rejecting attempts by tribal politicians to influence editorial decisions. Martin holds a B.A. from Auburn University. His is married to C. Angela Martin, and the two have one son.
