Thank you Joe! Your come-back has been much awaited! Now that the One Feather has devolved into no more than a glorified "company" news bulletin, with control kept under the iron fist of the Dear Leader, there has never been a time when a real newspaper has been more needed to cover what is happening in Cherokee.
Whenever I take a quick look at the One Feather news bulletin (and by quick look I mean it never takes more than 2-3 minutes to read the ENTIRE paper--so much for in-depth reporting), I think fondly of this newspaper:

Well, not quite. At least the state-owned North Korea news rag gives a little more information than does the present day One Feather.
Like I said, I'll do what I can. My time is limited, and unless advertisers are lining up at my door to place ads on this site, I won't be getting paid.
I hate to pick on the One Feather as it is horribly understaffed. I know Scott Brings Plenty and Dawn Arneach work hard to do the work of 8 people. The problem at the One Feather is leadership. It falls under the direction of Marketing & Promotions, a huge conflict of interest by itself. Mary Jane Ferguson, who oversees M&P is not even remotely qualified to oversee a newspaper, and I often butted heads with her. She once stated to me that "We have a progressive leader in Michell Hicks, and I need to do my part on the team." I was often "encouraged" to sugar coat things, downplay the importance of certain news items and mislead the public about certain events. She's the problem with the One Feather, along with Michell's interference.
